Life in Spain

It was Gill who made the promise. "When you're 65" she said, "we'll go and live in a warmer country, so you won't suffer from all these bronchial problems..."  So we did. We moved to the warmth of Spain and had eight happy years there from April 2004 to September 2011.

My bronchial problems didn't go away, but those were some of the best years of my life. I helped to develop the Anglican church in north-east Spain: we had three churches by the time we left. I loved the warmth and walking in the hills. We had some lovely English-speaking friends as well as some Spanish ones who will never be forgotten. I must have taken about 5,000 photographs while we lives there. How can I select just a few to represent our life there? Well, here we go ....

This was our house in Spain - "Casa Fab" - set in the hills above the Mediterranean, and some 1.5 kms from the village of Calig.

The circular terrace provided wonderful views of the coast-line for over fifty miles.
