Stephen & Gill - happy days in Tarragona, June 2010

Stephen: Now long retired, I worked for years in dark, noisy, smelly factories. From 2004 to 2011 I enjoyed a bit of warmth and peace in the sun in Spain. I was involved with developing a Church of England in N/E Spain.

Gill: Retired Salaries Supervisor with Hampshire Health Trust in Winchester.

Now enjoying being closer to our grand-children, Thomas [8] and Toby [6], as well as Ella [15] and Josie [12] down in Taunton.

Children: [in descending number of letters!]

And I suppose I should include the cat called 'Dog'..... In May 2005 when we lived in Spain, we were adopted by a stray, bony, starving cat, with sore neck, ticks and bald ears. She lived with us permanently, became well and happy and her neck and ears were perfect.

Although she had had a litter of kittens somewhere when she came starving and mewing to the door, they must have died: she had no milk in her to feed them.

By the time she had found accommodation with us, been fed for three days and the milk started to come, the kittens would have been long dead. We also had another regular visitor - Ringo - so named because of the rings down his tail. He was "sort of" friendly towards the Dog.

The Dog went to live with our friends Mick and June over by the Ermita in the village - she loved it there and was well loved! Sadly, her short life is now ended.
